Hi, I'm Cindy- owner of Half Pints Academy.
We are a family daycare and I give your child the experience of being a part of my/our family environment. My family members do not have a large part in the day to day operations of the daycare but they are still a part of it in some ways.
My husband has always loved being around the kids when he is home. You may see him at some point of the day as he works afternoons on occasion so he is around during the day o those weeks and loves the children and fills in only when absolutely necessary. He has CPR and criminal reference check and the children love him! He is also helpful if I have appointments that cannot be booked in the evenings :)
Our three children have grown up with the child care center as a part of their lives and don't mind helping out when they can.
Our 25 year old son son is currently working full time after graduating college but when he is home he is great with the kids and has a loving personality.
Our 23 year old daughter is very helpful when she is not in university, playing hockey or working. She has taken the babysitting course and has had training from me. She has provided care to outside families but is currently not home often. She is a very loving and mature child who loves kids and animals. The kids gravitate towards her also.
Our youngest son who is 19, just graduated grade 12 and is working full time but is good around kids when he is home. He is a very creative and imaginative and makes the children laugh and also finds them funny.
These are our dogs Harley and Nash. She is 4 years old and he is 1 year old, both very friendly. They are not allow into the daycare area typically but they sometimes greet kids at the door.
